The majority of our academic staff members are involved in research at national and international level, most of which jointly conducted by staff, their students and international collaborating scientist. Our undergraduate programmes comprise of a single major offered with honors and are 4 – years Bachelor of Science Degrees. The faculty of science further offers service modules that enabled our students to qualify for admission to the School of Medicine, School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Engineering and IT and Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Sciences.
The Faculty has established its own journal called the International Science and Technology Journal of Namibia which is free, expedited, print and online journal of peerriviewed research and commentary in pure, applied and allied Sciences and technology. The objective is to address the lack of academic platforms that communicate scholarly work which contribute to science and technology knowledge base. The annual research conference is an important event in the faculty of science calendar at which students and staff are afforded an opportunity to show case their research work annually in the form of poster and oral presentations. The faculty has also developed and internship and attachment agenda to provide another avenue through which students acquire practical skills.
